Jörg Ehtreiber

Director

Dear Visitors,

I am committed to the health and wellbeing of you and our members of staff. So far, we at the Graz Children’s Museum have come through the pandemic without a single case of Corona and we are taking every precaution to keep it that way.

In addition to following the legal rules and regulations, we developed and updated everyday team practices and operational standards to ensure a safe space for your family to come and play, as well as a safe working environment for our team. I ask you to comply with and support these measures so that we can hopefully return to life as we know it in the foreseeable future.

With this in mind, I wish you a pleasant visit to the Graz Children’s Museum and look forward to seeing you here!

Director of FRida & freD – The Graz Children’s Museum

our concern

The health and safety of our staff and visitors is our top priority. We know our house and our audience well and can therefore asses whether it makes sense to go a step further in addition to the official regulations.

your part to play

Covid-19 Präventation
  • Make sure that all members of your group are healthy! If you or your child(ren) are not feeling well, please visit when everyone is healthy.
  • Bring your masks! All guests ages 14 years and older are required to wear a ffp2-mask from the time you enter the building until the time you exit the building. Children from the age of 6 to 13 years are required to wear a face mask.
  • Please check our website for any new regulations concerning your visit.

new house rules

Neue Hausordnung Covid-19 Prävention
  • Most of our visitors are children who are still too young to be vaccinated. Because of that (and the number of still-unvaccinated adults we serve), FRida & freD requires ffp2-masks for all staff and visitors 14 years and older. Children from the age of 6 to 13 years are required to wear a face mask. It is compulsory to wear a mask during the entire visit. Members & guests not properly wearing a face mask may be asked to leave.
  • Use contactless payments.
  • Food and snacks are not permitted inside the Museum at this time. Should you and your family need a snack break we ask that you eat it outside.
  • The “Lümmelzone” (relaxation area) is closed.
  • We do not offer any workshops until further notice.

our part to play

  • Team Members are required to wear FFP2-masks.
  • We regularly clean touchables, toys, and high touchpoints in exhibits.
  • We recommend weekly Covid tests for our employees.
  • Team Members are required to stay home if feeling sick.
  • 5 hand sanitizing stations for guests are available throughout the Museum.
  • Plexi-sneeze guards have been installed at the front desk to protect the cashiers.
  • We have chosen to limit the number of visitors allowed in our exhibitions and theatre for increased space to safely explore, move and play. This may mean that you will not be able to visit the museum as planned or may not be able to purchase a theatre ticket.
