It’s raining, it’s pouring…Dear visitor, our museum is exceptionally well visited when the weather is bad. Please note that the museum might be closed on short notice because of overcrowding and that you will not be able to visit it on that day. Thank you for your flexibility!

* The 24-hour ticket is valid for the Graz Children’s Museum FRida & freD, the Graz Fairy Tale Espress and Salon Stolz. It is valid for 24 hours and available at all three locations. The price does not include KNOPFtheater performances and chargeable workshops at FRida & freD or the dance theater “Melodia” at Salon Stolz.

** Please note that the 24-hour ticket is not available for groups. Group visits require pre-booking in order to guarantee the visit.

When booking a visit to an exhibition and a workshop (laboratory or participatory theatre), the workshop is reduced by € 1.00.

Tram line 1, 3, 6 or 7 to Jakominiplatz and from Jakominiplatz by bus route 34 or 34E to the Museum of Perception or on foot (approximately 12 minutes) to the Children’s Museum
Travel time: approximately 20 to 25 minutes

Directions from Graz-Thalerhof Airport
Regional bus route 600, 620, 630 or 650. Alight at Graz Griesplatz and walk to the Children’s Museum (approximately 15 minutes)
Travel time: approximately 45 minutes

Murradweg 2, near Augartenbrücke

Take route 1, 3, 6, 7 or 14 and alight at Südtirolerplatz. Cross the main bridge and then turn right along Murpromenade – a very pleasant walk. Continue straight ahead to Augarten Park. Enter the park and after a short distance turn left to the Children’s Museum.
Travel time: approximately 25 to 35 minutes

Directions from the city centre:
Leave the main square in the direction of the main bridge. Turn left before the bridge and go down the stairs – also a very pleasant walk. Continue straight ahead alongside the Mur to Augarten Park. Enter the park and after a short distance turn left to the Children’s Museum.
Travel time: approximately 15 to 20 minutes

Our House Rules

Dear Children and Visitors,

Please read our house rules and observe them, so that all visitors enjoy a pleasant stay.

They apply to all visitors and are for your safety!

Access to the Children’s Museum FRida & freD may be denied in case of the violation of safety regulations and house rules.

The Children’s Museum FRida & freD assumes no duty of supervision for children. Duty of supervision is the responsibility of the accompanying persons in all cases. Parents are responsible for their children.

For group visits, duty of supervision is the responsibility of teachers or accompanying persons.

The instructions of the staff of the Children’s Museum FRida & freD must be obeyed.

We reserve the right to limit the duration of group visits (particularly with regard to snacks when other groups are on the premises). Snack requests for group visits must be clarified during registration.

Groups must register in advance because the exhibition space will be blocked for them. Therefore, they cannot visit the exhibition unannounced as individual visitors.

The Lümmelzone is closed for everyone.

Depending on the type of work done in the exhibitions, workshops and programmes, some craft work can be taken home, some not.

Food and beverages may not be consumed in the exhibition area or in the theatre.

Prams, scooters, skateboards and the like are not allowed in the exhibition area. There are dedicated storage areas for prams – please enquire at the cash desk.

The Children’s Museum FRida & freD accepts no liability for valuables. Lockers are available in the entrance area for the storage of personal items.

No costs can be reimbursed in the event of cancelation, postponement or a change of programme.
Programmes are subject to change and do not constitute grounds for reimbursement of the ticket price.

By purchasing the admission ticket, visitors agree that any television, film or photographic images recorded by the Children’s Museum FRida & freD may be used without compensation.

Celebrating your private (children’s) birthdays is not permitted.

There is a ban on alcohol throughout the museum.

Dogs – with the exception of assistance dogs, are not allowed.

The children’s museum FRida & FreD is a smoke-free organisation, therefore smoking is not allowed anywhere on the permises (also for e-cigarettes).

The purchase of an admission ticket constitutes recognition of the house rules.
