A special guest from South Africa: Derek Fish!

Come and experience some good vibrations from the southern tip of Africa. Discover uniquely African musical instruments (like the feared “vuvuzela”) and learn how they work. Enjoy a highly interactive music show for the whole family featuring unusual instruments from all over, and learn to play the straw-oboe, hosepipe and nose-flute!

Dr Derek Fish has run an interactive Science Centre (like Frida and Fred) in South Africa for over thirty years. He has presented this music show all over the world during that time. He trained as a Physics teacher and plays the piano, piano-accordion and nose-flute!
