Uns ist wichtig, dass unser Publikum mitmachen kann und alles ausprobiert. Das wünschen wir uns auch jetzt! Mit Cutter, Lineal und Klebstoff (und ein wenig Fingerfertigkeit sowie viel Geduld) ist man dabei. Wer baut mit?

Und wer hat’s erfunden?

Raimund Kelterer hat unser Gebäude mehrmals umrundet, Pläne gesichtet, Fotos gemacht und kennt es jetzt von außen wohl besser als unser Publikum. Er ist der Schöpfer unserer Papiermodelle und hat sie auch bereits gebaut.

Schon 1973 hat das Mitglied des Modellbauclubs »Die Steirer« begonnen, Papiermodelle zu basteln. Ihn fasziniert der Übergang vom flachen Papier zu Objekten in drei Dimensionen. Sein Interesse gilt nicht nur Gebäuden, sondern auch Flug- und Fahrzeugen, Schiffen, Figuren und sogar Tieren. Sein kleinstes Modell ist eine Straßenwalze im Maßstab 1:32, das gerade einmal 8 cm misst. Hingegen ist das derzeit größte Modell von ihm – eine Ariane-1-Rakete im Maßstab 1:33 – stattliche 1,4 m hoch.

And who invented it?

Raimund Kelterer walked around our building several times, looked at plans and took plenty of photos. Now, he probably knows the external design of our building better than our audience! He has put all this knowledge into the paper models he has created for us, and of course he has already built them himself.

Raimund Kelterer is a member of the model making club »Die Steirer« and has been making superb paper models since 1973. He is fascinated by how a flat piece of paper can be transform into amazing three-dimensional objects. His interests not only lie with buildings, however, but also with paper planes and vehicles, ships, figures and even animals. The smallest model he has ever created is a road roller on a scale of 1:32, measuring just 8 cm. By contrast, the largest model he has created to date – an Ariane 1 rocket on a scale of 1:33 – is an impressive 1.4 m tall.
